The concept of semi permanent make up is an odd one. And what exactly is meant by semi permanent? Here is everything you need to know about the new miracle product!

Semi permanent make up is the newest craze sweeping the cosmetic industry. It consists of natural iron oxide is applied into the dermal layer of the skin, in pretty much any colour the client would like. The materials used are completely safe and by semi permanent, they mean it can last up to five years!

Specific areas that can be treated using semi permanent make up include:
  • Eyebrows
  • Top Eyeliner
  • Bottom Eyeliner
  • Eyeliner Enhancement
  • Lipliner
  • Full Lip Colour
Is there any pain involved?
This is the part where the experts use the infamous word, “uncomfortable” and “pain threshold”.  Obviously, pain is very much an individual thing so it is hard to evaluate exactly how uncomfortable it is.  On the whole, however, the clients who have tried semi permanent make up say that it is by no means unbearable and the process is very smooth and quick so not to be put off in the slightest if you happen to be a little on the queasy side.
Is it really that safe?
Ina word, absolutely.  A visit to the semi permanent make up surgery is like a visit to the dentist or doctors in terms of the hygiene levels.  Everything is cleaned to the highest standards and no stone is left unturned when asking the client exactly what it is they are wanting to get out of the surgery.
Why is it for me?
Semipermanent make up is ideal for anyone.  If you long for the day when you do not have to wake up and plan your make up everyday then semi permanent is ideal.

Frame and balance your Eyebrows

Framing and balancing the face a well designed and groomed brow can instantly give lift and emphasis to the eyes, giving a more youthful appearance. Various concerns such as sparse, thin or naturally very light eyebrows can be addressed by adding fullness and definition without compromising a natural look.
The order of importance will of course vary from person to person depending on their perceived area of concern, however, I think most people would agree that the ‘eyebrows’ can make the most dramatic difference to the basic symmetry and enhancement of the face as a whole.
The initial treatment requires two visits spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. Semi-permanent make up as the name implies requires periodical maintenance to ensure the freshness of the look, but you can expect the enhancement to last anything from 9 months to 18 months before a re-touch treatment is required.

Reconstruction of Eyebrows

Eye liner and Eyelash enhancement treatments are incredibly effective at drawing attention to the eyes and can be as subtle or dramatic as required.
The eyelash enhancement treatment is the implanting of pigment in-between the lashes along the lash line and is an amazing ‘eye opener’. The result is very similar to the effect that a ‘mascara wand’ leaves behind after application, except that it’s permanent.

Microblading Eyebrows

What exactly is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi permanent make up which is implemented using a hand held tool comprised of between 6-14 micro needles hence the name microblade.

How is it different than eyebrow tattooing?
Microblading is the process of implanting pigment into the basal membrane which divides the epidermis from the dermis layer of the skin to create fuller looking brows. Eyebrow tattoo is done with a motorized device whereas microblading is done used a hand held tool, also know as a pen. When it comes to the term microblading the hand tool is used to simulate hair strokes in the brow. Microblading artists also use pigment vs ink. Pigment has a thicker consistency while ink is more watery in texture and tends to have more staying power. Most pigment will last in the skin between 1-2 years, keeping in mind different skin types and the use of skin care products. There is no “spilling” under the skin which leaves the strokes fine and crisp. Naturally the pigment will exfoliate out of the skin over time causing the pigment to lighten.

Lip Contouring

Lip enhancements are a wonderful way of subtly replacing lost pigment especially to the outer border of the lips where it most commonly fades as we age.
The technique of blending the pigment with the natural colour of the lip ensures no harsh outlines.
If your morning make up routine has become the bane of your life then semi permanent make could be exactly what you are looking for.
Goodbye morning routine
The alarm goes, straight in the shower followed by the morning scrubbing of the remnants of the night before make up that is almost ingrained into your facial pores.  Cleanse, tone, moisturise then onto the make up.  If this sounds similar to your morning routine and you are getting tired of the same thing every day then semi permanent make up could be exactly what you are looking for.

Scalp Micropigmentation

Creating the Ultimate Illusion of Hair with Micropigmentation

Permanent makeup has become an increasingly sought after service for both men and women suffering from hair loss and thinning hair. After all, thicker hair denotes youth while thin, stringy hair gives one an aged look. Although the causes of hair loss may vary, there is a common solution: permanent makeup in the form of scalp micropigmentation. The techniques used depend on the area of the scalp treated and the effect necessary to mimic a hair-like appearance for that area.

Areola Reconstruction is a semi permanent makeup procedure that is used to correct the shape and color of areolas. After surgery or cancer treatments areolas can be left uneven or even nonexistent. We can reshape them and add the correct pigment tone back in creating symmetrical areolas. This procedure is often done in addition to Scar Camouflage.
The results are completely natural and the procedure takes about an hour with no down time and designed just for you.

How is Semi Permanent Areola Reconstruction Procedure Applied?
Areola Correction is non-surgical, and there is no down-time. Colors are customized specifically for each client, so every application is unique to the client’s desires. The treatment involves the placement of mineral based pigment onto the outer derma layer of the skin.

Does the areola reconstruction procedure hurt?
The level of discomfort varies from person to person. A strong topical numbing cream is used. Numbing shots can be scheduled with the doctors that we work with and are an additional cost.

Can I change the color of my areola?
Yes! You get to choose your color.
